Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - Renovation

This is the first project I worked on while interning with Walt Disney Imagineering. We worked on a massive renovation of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, although not all photos have been released yet. Besides wallcovering and fabric selections, I was able to design a lot of custom pieces for the hotel rooms. I designed the custom balcony furniture for each room, the stained glass lit mirrors, and a super unique elephant side table. This project required a lot of research of African culture to make sure the correct patterns and animals were properly portrayed in all of the designs. Since this was the first project I worked it, this is where I learned so much about the process of a renovation.
